Stereo 41: Southern Restaurant & Lounge in Walnut Creek

TWO SIDES, ONE SOUL

Stereo has two sides, a Southern restaurant and a lounge in downtown Walnut Creek, held together by one belief: the best memories are made around a table, with something delicious on your plate, something soulful in your ears, and the people you love beside you.

From the Stereo 41 Family, the team behind World Famous Hotboys: a kitchen rooted in regional Southern tradition, with roots in Virginia and Nashville, Chef De La Torre's family recipes out of Arkansas, and the Louisiana traditions of executive sous chef Antwan Williams.

RESTAURANT

Honest Southern cooking: shareable entrées, just right on your own and even better passed around. Shrimp creole, short rib pepper pot, hot skillet cornbread, fried chicken, collard greens. We don't reinvent these dishes. We honor them.

LOUNGE

A listening room, not a nightclub. Not that we're policing hips; the funk gets into people, and there's a reason we took Best Late-Night Dining. Some nights a DJ, some nights curated playlists: soul, funk, disco, hip hop, or Latin, whatever the night calls for, through a hi-fi Void sound system. Think your cool aunt showing off her record collection.

No cover. The good seats are the ones near the speakers.
